We are looking for a Financial Reporting Specialist for the Finance and Tax division of the European HQ of a global bank based in Amsterdam. This person ideally has previous banking experience and an accounting qualification like ACCA, CPA, RA, or equivalent. Because this is a smaller subsidiary of a global player that is still growing its operations in Europe, you will handle a wide range of data and reports and enjoy a broad range of responsibilities.In this role, you will be assisting the Division Head & Team Lead by taking responsibility in carrying out the
following duties within accounting, regulatory reporting and taxation business:
- Producing regular financial reports, such as financial statements, management reports, group reporting, budget, as well as any ad-hoc reports if necessary or required by management;
- Producing periodical regulatory reports, including FINREP, AE, DGS-Q, BSI, MIR, MESREP, as well as any ad-hoc reports required by the regulator;
- Producing regular tax related reports/returns, such as corporate income tax, bank levy, DAC6 and transfer pricing documentation;
- Implementing and reviewing internal controls periodically, including J-SOX when required by HO
- Developing an understanding of the bank’s core systems and able to operate said systems for periodical closing and extracting data from various systems;
- Maintaining and updating user specifications/requirements for IT systems necessary for financial/regulatory/tax reporting, as well as user acceptance testing in collaboration with internal IT developer and external IT vendors;
- Maintaining relevant documentation, including policies, procedures, and position papers;
- Supporting team lead/manager in initiating and implementing improvements in processes and controls, preparing work manuals and automating work files wherever possible.
Salary range depends on your background and experience but will be within the range of 60,000 and 70,000 based on 37.5 hours, including holiday pay and a 13th month.

Requirements:
* Bachelor or Master degree in finance, economics, accounting or similar;
* Preferably holding a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/RA);
* Nice-to-haves include:
* Good knowledge in accounting standards (IFRS)
* Experience and knowledge in EU/Dutch regulatory reporting such as FINREP/BSI
* Experience and knowledge in OneSumX regulatory reporting system
* Willing to learn and expand your scope to risk-related regulatory reporting such as Anacredit, DGS SCV, COREP and liquidity reports;
* Analytical skills – able to resolve complex reporting challenges with a systematic approach and solution-oriented thinking with high attention to detail;
* Proficient skill and working experience in Excel and PowerPoint;
* Fluency in English, an international mindset and intercultural sensitivity is required.
